Transnational grandparenthood: A qualitative study on the relationship of grandparents and grandchildren in the migration context

Transnational relationships are defined as those between actors located in different national spaces, that is, built beyond borders. It is the case of grandparents and grandchildren, who through migration see themselves a distance relationship two countries, thus one can speak transnational seeks an affective connection cultures, played out grandchildren. These will link grandchildren to family traditions, stories values from culture origin. Despite by parents children, apparently distancing generations, this does not seem totally prevent inter-family cultural transmission social values, mainly due grandparents, function kind root contemporary society.
